Hi everyone,
I would like to exploit the client API to allow external applications to subscribe to topics.
Unfortunately with this solution the client is tight coupled to the version of the runtime I am using at the time of the development and it makes very difficult to upgrade it.
All the clients are then forced to upgrade the client API, otherwise the communication fails as follows:
Unknown exception occurred talking to the Configuration Service at net.tcp://neuron-test.kamstrup.dk:50000/ESBConfigurationService/. Communication to Configuration proxy failed. 10 attempts were made
Is there any way we can overcome this limitation?
Thank you very much

not yet. however, we are entertaining creating a wrapper around the API for our CU5 release. The purpose of which is that it would detect upgraded assemblies on the server and then automatically download them....essentially updating themselves.
Ok Marty,
thanks for the update. Any idea on the release date of CU5?
We will take that into account on the solution design.
Thank you
Fabrizio
hoping end of August
Hi Marty,
I have an additional question regarding the version dependency.
In the solution a client subscribe to a RabbitMQ topic using the clientAPI.
Installing the NeuronEsb client api from NuGet and following the sample provided everything works.
The dll has a dependency on RabbiMQClient >= 3.5.6. However, even tough it says => 3.5.6, when I try to upgrade, it doesn't work anymore. There are no subscriber connected to the topic even tough the connection seems to be established correctly, without any exceptions.
Should I also prevent from upgrading? Why it does not give any error during the connection?
Will the wrapper that you're working on take care also of this issue?
Thank you very much
Fabrizio
