We have a need for an adapter that supports IBM MQ version 9 and a feature called "MQIPT" which means "IBM MQ Internet Pass-Thru".
I see there is a WebSphere MQ adapter, but it seems to only be for version 1 and 2. It seems that IBM has changed the name/architecture of the product starting with version 8.0.
Here are two articles from IBM that discusses the MQIPT:
If this adapter does not exist, we would like to request it:
Thank you

looking at the links you sent, it doesn't look like this has anything to do with the adapter. MQIPT is a downloadable windows service you install and configure to broker traffic between the adapter and the mqseries queue manager. I don't see any documentation regarding anything that needs to be done on the client code side in the adapter.
I think I see what you are saying.
This implies that we will need to standup a local IBM MQ server for the purpose of it communicating with MQIPT across the internet to our client so their MQIPT service will receive the message and communicate with their IBM MQ.
Follow-up question: is the "WebSphere MQ" adapter compatible with "IBM MQ"?
websphere mq is IBM MQ. Websphere is just their branding
Thank you for the great responses Marty.
The adapter indicates it is version 1 and 2. IBM MQ started at version 8 and is currently at 9.
If we encounter any specific items related to functionality, we'll ping you the specs at that time.
Thanks again!
by the way...the adapter version info is our internal neuron version info...its not related to the version of IBM Mq
