The Service Bus for the Connected Business

Programmatically Enabling and Disabling Services and Adapters

We are currently working on a fail-over scenario that requires us to enable and disable services and adapters as quickly as possible.  Using Powershell, I have a script that can loop through the adapter and service configuration files and change the <Enabled> to false, thus disabling all endpoints.  It appears that after a few seconds (maybe 10-15) the endpoints have shut down.  This is per the Endpoint Health activity monitor.  The endpoints seem to be shutting down a few per monitor refresh.  However, when I run my "enable" script that sets the <Enabled> to true, the only way that the changes have been picked up is to restart the Neuron server instance.

Is there a way to programmatically enable a service or adapter endpoint and have Neuron pick up the change without the need to restart the Neuron service?

you shouldn't have to restart the neuron runtime to pick up that change if you are changing the xml files directly.  Can you send me your script and a sample that replicates the behavior?  you can send directly to marty.wasznicky@neudesic.com

The neuron runtime monitors the configuration directory for any changes and will automatically load them

also, what build/version of Neuron are you using?

kind regards,

Marty

this is all working for you now in the latest build, correct?

Marty,

We are still on 3.0.3.128.  We are in the middle of a data center migration project and haven't been able around to installing the newest build.  When I do get around to upgrading the new version (TBD) :)  I will be sure to let you know the results.

Thanks.

Hi,We are using the Marketo adapter to push account updates to Marketo. It works well for some time then starts failing with Invalid Token unless restarted. Is there a configuration that can be done so it can auto refresh the token when required? Thanks!See More
