I have been trying to work out how to configure MSMQ for high availaibility.
I think that I need to use Zones, & Deployment Groups to configure the server deployment. But I am unsure how I would go about this and what the perfromance impacts are.
So let me give you the scenario that I am looking at and you can then point me in teh direction of resources that I need to be able to resolve it.
I have 3 High throughput topics that need reliable messaging
Service1
Service2
Service3
Each of these topics then has 4 PartyId's for sending and receiving on.
So my thining goes as followis
Service1. I turn on MSMQ in Networking and leave everything as standard so far,
I then go to the Deployment Menu and Create a New Zone Called Service1_Zone
I then Go to the deployment groups
In the General Tab I create a New Deployment Group Service1DepGrp
In the Machines Tab I add the machines that I have installed MSMQ onto [MSMQ01 & MSMQ02] and untick the ESB Server tick box for both of them.
In the Address Tab ? I have no idea what should be in here as the Service Name in My Config Drop Down doesn't show anything.
In the Queues Tab I assign the Service One Topic, the PartyId, The Machine I want it running on, and in the queue text box I again have no idea.
I then go back to the Messaging area and for Service1 topic I assign it to the Service1_Zone.
Can you confirm that this is the correct understanding, and what else I need to configured to distribute the messageing load over differnt MSMQ boxes.
Any help would be very much appreciated
Kind Regards
Alixx
