Neuron ESB User Network

The Service Bus for the Connected Business

Hi,
When I try to connect to NeuronESB on remote machine (still in my Local Area Network) I get message that connection can not be established (see attachment). Any ideas what may be wrong? Remoting on that machine and using NeuronExplorer from that machine works ok. Firewall is OFF. Stopping antivirus also does not help.

Hi Michal. Did you make sure that the ESB Service is running on the remote server and is configured to listen to port 50000? That would be the first thing to check.

The next question is are your machine and the remote machine on the same Windows domain? If not, then you may have to enter credentials that are valid for the remote machine in order to connect to the remote ESB service.

Please let me know.

Hi,
The port is open and listening.
Both computers are connected to the same Windows Domain.
I did small test: added local user to windows and added entry for that user to Neuron and it works. However it's a maintenance burden to do so for each environment and I would like to leverage my Domain. Any idea what to try? BTW, should I be passing credentials (user, pass, domain) when trying to connect when I want to use domain account? (It does not work in any case but I'm just asking what's proper usage) .
Thanks for help,
Michał
Hi Michael,
Any ideas that maybe came to your mind over last week?

Hi Michal. I apologize. I did not see your reply.

What user account is your Neuron ESB service running as? Is it running using a domain account, LocalSystem, or a local user account?

Hi,

It is running dedicated domain account.

Hi Michal,

Have you tried adding an entry on the host file?

This discussion might help.

Hi Michał,
We had the same issue. Try running the Neuron ESB Service as the local system account and then connecting to it remotely. This worked for us.

We have actually kept our service running as the local system account, but suspect that the issue was happening because the account we were using to run Neuron Explorer did not have rights to delegate Kerberos.

Hope that helps!

Hi,We are using the Marketo adapter to push account updates to Marketo. It works well for some time then starts failing with Invalid Token unless restarted. Is there a configuration that can be done so it can auto refresh the token when required? Thanks!See More
