Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding the service throttling properties exposed in the ClientConnector tab (Max Concurrent Calls / Instances / Sessions)
Which are the default values?
The test and prod server are hosted on a 8 core machine. If I try to create a new service endpoint directly in the test configuration the default is set to 208/100/100.
On my local machine those are set to 104/100/100.
Reading the online documentation (MS online doc) it seems like the values should be changed to something like 128/928/800.
Should I change anything? Is there any best practice from you? Should the configuration reflects the prod settings or is there any way to make them environment-dependent?
Thank you very much in advance

Hi,
the client connector (at least in the latest build) doesn't use sessions...or instances....so keeping those numbers at whatever default number is fine. In the latest build (post 3.5.4.920) it setup as a per call service....so max concurrent calls is the important number. that number should be set slightly higher than whatever is the expected peak max concurrent calls you expect to receive on that endpoint...setting this too high will have no detrimental affect as max concurrent calls acts as a throttle...not as an allocator of resources
Thanks Marty.
I've upgraded production last Saturday to 3.5.4.1017, so I will leave the default values. The peak is very low at the moment so no need for changing it
